SOMERSET COUNTY JAIL IMPLEMENTS NON-CONTACT VISITATION FOR ALL VISITS |

| Commencing Saturday, 4/ 23/2011 all visitation at Somerset County Jail will be NON-CONTACT. There will be no kissing, hand holding, or embracing between visitors and inmates. This is being done to eliminate the PAT SEARCHING of visitors prior to their visitation. This has been an ongoing issue. This also impacts the inmates in that they will no longer be regularly STRIP SEARCHED as part of the visitation process. All current Visit Rules and Schedules remain in place. |

Visitors are reminded that they must call 24 hours in advance (between 8:00 am to 4 p.m). to schedule their vist. Additionally, visitors must present a valid government issued photo identification before being permitted to visit. Visitors need to arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled visit to complete visitor processing. |
